Fault F66 is shown on the tumble dryer display.
Clean the fluff filters after every drying programme.
Clean the plinth filter immediately when lights up or a prompt appears in the display.
This allows you to reduce the frequency of fault F66 or even prevent this fault.
Environmental impact due to fluff which has been disposed of incorrectly.
To prevent microplastics from spreading into the waste water system, fluff must not be drained away with the water.
Dispose of the fluff collected by the fluff filters with your household waste.
Tip: You can also use a vacuum cleaner so that you can remove the fluff without touching it.
Clean the fluff filters as follows:
Open the door.
Pull the upper fluff filter forwards to remove it.
Remove the fluff (see arrows).
Remove the fluff (see arrows) from the surface of all the fluff filters and the perforated laundry deflector.
Turn the yellow rotary control on the lower fluff filter in the direction of the arrow (until you hear it click).
Hold the rotary control and pull the fluff filter forwards to remove it.
Use a vacuum cleaner with a long crevice nozzle attached to remove any visible fluff from the upper air flow openings.
Clean all fluff filters with water:
Wipe the smooth plastic surfaces of the fluff filters with a damp cloth to clean them.
Rinse the filter surfaces through under warm running water.
Shake the fluff filters thoroughly and then dry them carefully.
Wet fluff filters could cause operational faults while drying.
Push the lower fluff filter in completely and lock it with the yellow rotary control.
Push the upper fluff filter all the way in.
Close the door.

To prevent microplastics from spreading into the waste water system, fluff must not be drained away with the water.
To collect the cleaning water, clean the plinth filter in a bowl or bucket.
Check and clean the plinth filter as follows:
Press the round, indented area on the heat exchanger access panel to open it.
The access panel will spring open.
Pull the plinth filter out by the handle.
The right-hand guide pin comes out when the plinth filter is removed. The guide pin prevents the access panel from closing without the plinth filter.
Pull the handle out of the plinth filter.
Clean the plinth filter carefully and thoroughly under running water.
To speed up the removal of residue from the surface, run a water jet vertically over the front of the plinth filter.
Squeeze the plinth filter very carefully several times as you rinse it.
Tip: Place the plinth filter so that it lies flat in the bowl or bucket.
To efficiently loosen underlying residue, gently press down on the plinth filter with the back of your hand.
Rinse the entire plinth filter thoroughly until all visible residue has been removed.
Continue to carefully squeeze the plinth filter until all of the water has been removed.
Tip: To soak up water, place the damp plinth filter between 2 hand towels. On a flat surface, repeatedly press down gently on the plinth filter with a flat hand. This will dry the plinth filter more quickly.
The plinth filter must not be fitted dripping wet.
Otherwise, this could cause a fault.
Carefully squeeze the water out of the plinth filter.
If a drying programme is interrupted with a fault message after the clean plinth filter has been refitted, the plinth filter was too wet when it was refitted. Carefully squeeze the water out of the plinth filter again. Leave the plinth filter to air-dry.
Blockages caused by a damaged or worn plinth filter.
The heat exchanger becomes blocked and damage may occur.
Use a damp cloth to remove any fluff from the handle.
Fit the plinth filter back on the handle. Make sure it is the correct way round.
Risk of injury from sharp cooling fins.
You could cut yourself.
Do not touch the cooling fins with your hands.
Look to see if fluff has accumulated on the heat exchanger.
Remove any fluff you can see.
Damage due to incorrect cleaning of the heat exchanger.
The tumble dryer will not dry if the cooling fins are damaged or bent.
Clean using a vacuum cleaner with a dusting brush attached. Only pass the dusting brush over the heat exchanger cooling fins lightly, without applying any pressure.
Use a vacuum cleaner to remove fluff and residues.
Push the plinth filter in completely.
This will push in the right-hand guide pin at the same time.
To catch any particles or fluff, pour the contents of the bowl or bucket through a filter (e.g. coffee filter).
Dispose of the filter with your household waste.
Use a damp cleaning cloth to remove any fluff. Make sure that you do not damage the rubber seal when doing this.
Close the heat exchanger access panel.
Take out some of the laundry.
Start the process again.
Remove objects that are obstructing the ventilation grille under the door.
In the case of condenser dryers, please observe the following points as well:
When drying, open a door or window to ensure sufficient ventilation.
Using too much detergent during washing may result in white encrustations on the edges and front of the plinth filter, see Fig. 4.
Wash the plinth filter separately in the washing machine without detergent at max. 40 °C with a spin speed of max. 600 rpm.
If the plinth filter is cleaned incorrectly or if it is very old, it may tear or deform, see Fig. 5. It will no longer fit tightly. Fluff will get into the heat exchanger unfiltered.
Replace the plinth filter.
