Compressor runs constantly (loud buzzing)

The refrigeration appliance/wine unit compressor runs constantly (loud buzzing). The temperature in the refrigeration appliance/wine unit decreases.

The ventilation cross-sections have been covered or become dusty.

Make sure that the air can circulate.

Remove dust regularly.

The appliance door is being opened frequently. This means that the refrigeration appliance/wine unit has to work harder to keep the temperature low.

A large number of wine bottles or food have been placed in the appliance. This means that the refrigeration appliance/wine unit has to work harder to cool the food/wine bottles.

No remedy required.

The appliance door is not completely closed.

Check whether the appliance door is blocked and remove any foreign objects.

Check that the appliance doors are seated correctly and use the screws in the door hinges to adjust them if necessary.

The freezer zone has a thicker layer of ice.

Defrost the freezer zone.

The target temperature has been set too low.

Set the correct temperature.

The ambient temperature is too high.

Ensure a lower ambient temperature.

The built-in appliance was not properly installed in the niche.

Install the refrigeration appliance/wine unit in the niche as described in the installation instructions.

To save energy, the refrigeration appliance/wine unit switches to a lower speed when less cooling is required. This increases the compressor run time. This is a normal function.
