Miele enters the industrial and hospital markets with specialised washer-disinfectors. Model G 17 OP is designed to clean operating theatre instruments, the G 18 is a thermal disinfector and the G 19 Laboris designed to clean laboratory glassware.

Intensive regional advertising campaigns in 1965/66 publicise Miele's comprehensive range of products. This includes a competition in which consumers must answer questions on Miele machines.

A new dishwasher, the G 45, is launched. Key features: Increased capacity (12 place settings), undercounter installation thanks to adherence to modular kitchen sizes, a stainless-steel inner cabinet and automatic detergent dispensing.

Bicycle and motorbike production is slowly wound down. Miele's K 52/2 Sportmoped is the last product to be developed in this area. This model, fitted with a pedal kick start 47 ccm Fichtel & Sachs motor has three-gear transmission.
